Electrical Designer

My client are experts in industrial automation, providing a complete professional service from specification, design and manufacture, through to commissioning and ongoing service and support. Specialising in dynamic weighing and bagging solutions servicing a broad range of industries including food, grains, plastics, chemicals, quarries, mining and recycling.

Due to rapid growth, my client is now looking to bring their electrical design in house and are after a skilled Electrical Designer to join a team to design and develop the electrical systems and equipment needed for all active projects.

This is a role that will give you full scope of all projects start to finish. Responsibilities will include design, drawing, time and cost estimates, Omron PLC programming and leading the delivery of on-site electrical installation and commissioning of capital works projects. You will also be asked to apply your knowledge and skills to product development with one of the first projects being the electrical re-design of an existing machine so it can be released globally.

You will be joining an existing team of 14 based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.  Working under a newly appointed head of operations who believes in a good workplace culture, leading a team who are collaborative, supportive and enjoy a good laugh.

We are ideally looking for someone with good knowledge of the automation/manufacturing industry, confident in electrical drawings and Omron PLC.

Team Leader – Networks

Our client is one of the leading Universities in Australia. They have received numerous awards and have invested in a variety of technology capabilities. The University will support up to 100,000 users at any one time.

With great investments and continuous growth in technology and having won large number of projects, they are looking to grow their network core team. As a result of which we are looking to hire a Team Lead-Network who would be leading a team of Network Engineers. This role will give you an opportunity to work on a variety of projects and also have a focus on BAU.

The current project is regarding a software defined data centre which is in phase I and the team is all set for phase II by Q1 next year.

This role is best suited for someone who has extensive experience working on routing and switching, managing data centres and wireless networks. Specifically, someone who has hands on experience on Cisco devices and have Cisco certifications.

The ideal candidate would be technically sound and have working knowledge of different technologies like Palo Alto, Firewalls, VPN Gateways, F5 etc.

This is a great opportunity to get exposure to a variety of technologies and get involved in training courses to upskill.
