Junior Support Engineer
We currently have a unique opportunity with one of our IT Service Provider clients. The role is a Junior Support Engineer working in the Managed Services Team. This position is for candidates who are in the early stages of there career and are looking to grow there skill set. My client currently has two positions available in the Melbourne CBD.
-Triaging incidents and problems within a variety of clients environments and ensuring priority tickets are resolved
-Troubleshooting Operating systems, software issues across platforms such as Windows, Linux and AIX
-Supporting client infrastructure across different industries
-Liaise with vendor support to resolve software and hardware issues
-Performing ongoing health checks of all client environments which include checking back ups, clearing alarms
-Any certifications related to cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
-Bachelor of Computer Science/IT (Highly regarded)
-1 year experience in IT
-Experience with UNIX/Linux Technologies (Red Hat Linux, AIX/Fedora)
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Willingness to learn new technologies and skills
-Self motivated and posses a strong work ethic
-Effectively communicate with Engineers and Service Delivery Managers on urgent technical issues
