Senior OpenShift & Ansible Engineer

We’re partnering with a specialist cloud & automation consultancy to find a Senior OpenShift & Ansible Engineer to join their high-performing engineering and advisory team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud-native automation solutions.

You’ll work with enterprise customers across varied industries, using tools like OpenShift, Ansible, and Terraform to deliver scalable, automated infrastructure in both greenfield and brownfield environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and deliver automated infrastructure solutions using Ansible and OpenShift.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks.

• Implement cloud-native platforms on AWS and Azure.

• Lead client workshops, define technical roadmaps, and produce architectural documentation.

• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to align on DevOps and cloud strategies.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal capability building.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible (essential).

• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and cloud-native architecture.

• Proficiency with Terraform, CI/CD tools, and scripting languages like Bash or Python.

• Strong background in Linux system administration, ideally RHEL.

• Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments.

• Clear communicator with the ability to simplify complex solutions for stakeholders.
