About the Role

We’re seeking an OpenShift Virtualization Engineer to join one of our Global client’s infrastructure team. You’ll be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing VMware and OpenShift Virtualization clusters in our on-premises environments. This is a key role supporting the application delivery, performance, and security.

Note- This role can be based anywhere in Australia

What You’ll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain VMware and OpenShift Virtualization clusters

• Monitor system performance and resolve issues for optimal uptime

• Manage access and permissions within virtual environments

• Collaborate with developers to optimize apps in OpenShift

• Create and update technical documentation

• Stay current with Kubernetes and OpenShift developments

• Partner with security teams to enforce container best practices

• Support migrations from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization

• Administer and maintain existing VMware environments

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in OpenShift Virtualization or a similar role

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and OpenShift architecture

• Knowledge of networking in containerized environments

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

• OpenShift or Red Hat certifications (preferred)

• VMware certifications (a plus)
