Job Description
Seeking an experienced Parasoft API Virtualization Consultant / Developer to design, build, and manage simulated integrated environments that enable reliable testing of Salesforce and enterprise integrations without dependency on live external systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in service virtualization, API simulation, and integration testing, with the ability to work closely with architects, product owners, and delivery teams to reduce integration risk, accelerate testing cycles, and improve release confidence.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support requirement discovery sessions with Architects, Product Owners, and integration teams to understand external system dependencies, testing constraints, and integration scenarios requiring virtualization.
• Design and implement service virtualization strategies aligned to enterprise integration architectures, supporting Salesforce and middleware platforms.
• Create and manage virtual REST and SOAP services using Parasoft Virtualize, based on OpenAPI/WSDL specifications or recorded traffic.
• Configure rule-based responses to simulate real-world integration scenarios, including successful responses, business validation errors, system faults/timeouts, and performance/latency scenarios.
• Enable testing of integration logic when external systems are unavailable, restricted, or vendor-controlled.
• Collaborate with Salesforce and Integration teams to redirect sandbox and non-prod endpoints to virtual services using Named Credentials or equivalent mechanisms.
• Ensure data realism without using production data, leveraging parameterized, synthetic, or masked datasets.
• Provide full auditability and traceability of simulated interactions, including payloads, headers, timestamps, and executed rules.
• Support parallel testing across multiple Salesforce sandboxes by managing reusable, environment?agnostic virtual services.
• Design and maintain sandbox seeding and cloning approaches to enable repeatable and automated integration testing.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and defect triage related to integration testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by enabling automated deployment and configuration of virtual services for regression and integration testing.
• Proactively identify risks related to integration dependencies and testing gaps, escalating issues with clear mitigation strategies.
• Own and maintain documentation in Confluence, including virtualization architecture, service definitions, scenarios, and environment configuration guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
• 6+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years hands-on with Parasoft tools.
• Strong experience in API service virtualization and integration testing.
• Hands-on expertise with Parasoft Virtualize or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, OpenAPI, and WSDL.
• Experience simulating authentication mechanisms (OAuth, API keys, basic auth) without real credentials.
• Knowledge of integration patterns, error handling, and performance testing concepts.
• Experience with Salesforce sandboxes and integration ecosystems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and architectural guidance.

Qualification
