Security Engineer – Mainframe
Location: Melbourne or Sydney
Contract Duration: 6 months (Immediate start)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Security Engineer with experience in RACF and ACF.

This is a contract role with an immediate start. You’ll be joining a small team to manage 6 of your own clients within the government and insurance industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work effectively with the Regional and Global Security team
• Adhere to both customer and corporate standards and responsibilities
• Creation of documentation such as process and procedural documentation
• Take the lead in developing process improvement
• Administer security policies to control access to systems
• Data analysis and in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Vendor and platform upgrades
• Management of SSL Certificates in Mainframe environment
• Provide ‘level 3’ support and problem management guidance for the platform team and escalate issues to vendors/manufacturers for technical support as needed.
• Participate in audits

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Cyber Security
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Mainframe security
• Strong knowledge in ACF2/RACF security Architecture
• Sound knowledge of Unix in z/OS
• Sound working knowledge of NetMaster/MAI and SOLVE
• Experience with JCL, SAS, Clist and/or REXX
• Experience with CICS/IMS/DB2/MQ a plus
• Experience in Mainframe certificate management
• Experience in upgrades
• Experience with working with Auditors – specifically SOX AND SOC1
• Working knowledge of Ticketing Systems – preference is SNOW
• Knowledge of CONTROLM processes
• Understanding of ADABAS
• Understanding of Essential 8 standards
• The candidate should be comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite of tools; Excel experience is essential
• Have a solid understanding of best security practices
