We are seeking a customer-focused Operational Technology (OT) Senior Support Specialist to play a critical role in delivering and supporting mining fleet and operational technology solutions. This hands-on role combines technical expertise, service delivery, and project support to ensure the reliable operation of a cloud-enabled operating system used across live mining environments.
Note- This role can be based in Perth or Brisbane.
Contract length: Initial 1 year contract with a view to extend for another year.
You’ll work across both hardware and software, providing remote and on-site technical support while helping customers maximise the value of their fleet and OT systems.
Customer Support & Service Delivery-
Provide primary remote technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across mining fleet and OT systems
Coordinate and perform on-site installations, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting when required
Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication, system health checks, and rapid issue resolution
Manage incoming support requests, ensuring timely responses and service level outcomes
Coordinate internal resources and third-party support as needed
Oversee hardware installations, replacements, and upgrades across customer fleet assets
Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and best-practice procedures
Support field testing and validation of new hardware and OT solutions
Cloud Infrastructure & System Management-
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based OT platforms
Respond to planned and unplanned system outages to minimise operational downtime
Coordinate with cloud service providers and internal teams to resolve infrastructure issues
Conduct system health assessments, capacity planning, and preventative maintenance
Support system upgrades, patches, and deployments alongside development teams
Technical Project Support-
Contribute to technical delivery during customer implementations and go-live phases
Coordinate cross-functional activities spanning hardware, software, and system integration
Support new customer onboarding and transition from implementation to operational support
Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or similar) or equivalent technical experience
Background in OT, fleet systems, IoT, or telematics environments
Strong understanding of industrial hardware, networking, and cloud platforms
Proven experience delivering technical support and managing service expectations
Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
Full Australian working rights
Exposure to mining, construction, or heavy equipment environments
Knowledge of OEM systems such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, or Hitachi
Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, or field-based system testing
